Property Developer, Celestino is excited to see the first excavators on site at The Gables, its $4bn masterplanned community in Box Hill.
Bassett Demolition has been awarded the contract worth over $1mn. The first stage of works includes the removal of 16 properties and infrastructure such as sewer systems, pools, outbuildings, fencing and driveways; between Red Gables Road and Old Pitt Town Road.
The excavators moved in on 4 January and have begun removing homes and buildings on Old Pitt Town and Janpieter Roads. This first stage of works is due to be completed by April 2016.
Matthew Scard, Development Director at Celestino, comments, “The start of work is an exciting time for the team at Celestino. Seeing excavators onsite signals that the development is on its way.
We were also pleased to receive DA approval from The Hills Shire Council for a second major intersection on Old Pitt Town Road in December. This intersection will be the gateway into The Gables for residents that have bought land in our first series of releases.”
Since the launch in late August, The Gables has sold 390 lots; three quarters of those to families looking to upgrade from suburbs such as Kellyville and Beaumont Hills and those currently living in The Ponds, who wish to be a part of the desirable Hills Shire; with the remainder being snapped up by builders.
There are still a number of land lots available; ranging in size from 450m2 up to 632m2 with the average price for a 450m2 lot at $550,000. Registrations are also being taken for 2,000m2 lots which are due to be released later in 2016.
As a masterplanned community, customers can see the amenity that Celestino intends on delivering at The Gables in the future such as; local parks, open spaces, local primary school and the future town centre.
Matthew Scard adds, “The Gables has been successful as customers can imagine being a part of a vibrant community in the future. We are thrilled to be taking the first steps to see our vision become a reality.”
