Celestino Eureka Prize

Celestino is honoured to have presented the Eureka Prize for Promoting Understanding of Science since 2018.  Previous winners have included Associate Professor Alan Duffy (2018), Associate Professor Darren Saunders (2019) and Associate Professor Alice Motion (2020).

The Eureka Prizes are a key part of the Australian Museum’s role at the forefront of Australian scientific research, education and awareness. With $160,000 in prize money and recognition nationally and internationally for winners, the Eureka Prizes are seen as the ‘Oscars’ of Australian Science.

Penrith Performing & Visual Arts

Celestino is working with Penrith Performing & Visual Arts (PP&VA) to develop Western Sydney through creativity.

PP&VA is made up of the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre, Penrith Conservatorium, Q Theatre and Penrith Regional Gallery, and represents a diverse and dynamic blend of creative practice in the Western Sydney region. Since its establishment back in 2006 PP&VA has worked to showcase creativity in all its forms to help improve people’s lives and make western Sydney a great place to live, work and play.

As an entity established to offer cultural centres for the entertainment, enjoyment and education of our local community, Penrith Performing & Visual Arts offers more than just the performing and visual arts – it offers a vision of a creative Penrith for the whole community.
