We were proud to officially launch the 2022 Sydney Science Park (SSP) CSIRO Urban Living Lab STEM School Challenge. Over 10 schools are participating in the SSP STEM Challenge, and we welcomed over 200 students, teachers and industry leaders to the launch event held at Sydney Science Park.
The launch event was full of interactive high technology activities and engaging presentations. Village Well’s Gilbert Rochecouste and SJB Urban’s Frankie Layson, kickstarted the students’ minds to think differently about creating innovative solutions and concepts for sustainable, resilient and liveable cities using Sydney Science Park as the centrepiece.
The students also had access to industry experts from Association of Independent Schools of NSW, CSIRO, Village Well, SJB Urban Urban Water Features, Enspire Solutions , Orion Consulting and Western Earthmoving who encouraged thoughtful discussions on their focus areas for Sydney Science Park.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the SSP STEM Challenge’s urban thinktanks where industry experts and mentors will guide the students on topics including energy, water, health, heat, urban planning, architecture, smart cities, transport, circular economy, waste and urban agriculture.
